How are teams structured in your Learning Management System?

In this article, we'll review how we typically structure teams in our Learning Management System (LMS).

Teams inside our LMS can be structured in various ways depending on what is needed for your organization. However, there are two typical ways we usually structure them, as explained below:

  • Team Name (example: Barstucks Cafe)
    • Course Sub-Team (example: Yellow Belt Training & Certification)

Alternatively, teams can be structured with extra Sub-Teams to divide your company team up by department.

  • Team Name (example: Barstucks Cafe)
    • Departmental Sub-Team (example: Baristas)
      • Course Sub-Team (example: Yellow Belt Training & Certification)

This way, you can either divide your learners up by their department inside your organization, or by the course they are taking (or both!). Additionally, organizational leaders can be given Team Leader access to monitor and track progress for all learners within your team.
