Do I have to complete a project to become Green Belt Certified?

We currently offer two different versions of our Green Belt Training & Certification course:

Our standard course does not require a project to be completed in order to receive certification, so you can start a Green Belt Project at any time when enrolled for this course as you'll be responsible for completing it on your own.

Here's a great webinar on How to Select the Right Improvement Project!

Our Green Belt Training & Certification with Project Completion course does require a project to be completed in order to receive certification. When you enroll for this course, you'll complete your very own Green Belt Project alongside your coursework. You'll also receive support from our Master Black Belt Coaches for your two project submissions:

  1. Green Belt Project Screener
  2. Green Belt Project Storyboard

That said, you'll be required to start your Green Belt Project at the beginning of the Green Belt Training & Certification with Project Completion course, and you'll be required to complete the project in order to receive certification.

One of the benefits to this version of our Green Belt course is that your certificate will contain a badge that says "Project Completed." This will show that you not only have been trained and tested on Lean Six Sigma tools and concepts, but you've also used your new skills to complete your own project.
